I've seen this article posted today on quite a few of the gadget boards. Seems like there is some trepidation as to the factual prices this article claims. We shall see however.

I agree. I don't care too much for the orange.
Really though, I just wish they'd stick with a name and be done with it.

that kinda seems fake since they are not going to have the phone out until june and they have an exclusive for 18 months. also Apple has said they looking to make alot of profit from this phone. so why would they spend advertising money now and cut the price?

i still would not go back to Cingular for anything in the world. i am completely happy with pink as far as GSM goes.

Cingular could not pay me to come back.

just look at it though, it's a Photoshop, and a crappy one at that.. the "See for yourself why more people choose Cingular" is a different color from the rest of the ad. The ad is bad, even for Cingular..

If people are going to fake something, at least take a little more time doing it!

If you want some other carrier just hope they unlock the phone soon then you buy one of ebay for even cheaper and choose your own carrier. I would acctually do that for all phones.

I think i can safely stay away from this one, as it's not really a smartphone, it's just a smart iPod in my opinion..lol

For the life of me I can't find the article but I had the link on digg yesterday but there was confirmation from Cingular that this ad was indeed false and that there was no plans to make the phone at this pricing.

On a separate note, I see that apple will profit share on sales of this phone with Cingular. Talk about a hard deal apple must have struck, no wonder why Verizon passed.
