Whilst the blogosphere is known for its seemingly endless attempts at Apple rumour one-upping, the New York Times has joined the fray, not only re-iterating the Financial Times'
earlier statement that Twentieth Century Fox will be on-stage for the Stevenote but also adding "more than one studio [will] appear onstage at the company's Macworld exhibition .... to endorse a new Apple movie rental service."
When the news broke of Fox being first to sign up to iTunes movie rentals, we're certain that more than a few folks were surprised at the news: if only because it wasn't Disney (and of course Pixar) who were leading the Apple movie bandwagon forward again.
