On January 9, 2007, Steve Jobs announced that the iPhone will first be available in June 2007 in the US and Canada, in Q4 in Europe, and in 2008 in Asia. It will be offered in two configurations with two different prices, based on a 2-year contract: a 4 GB model for $499, and an 8 GB model for $599.Apple also announced that they aim to get 1% market share of the mobile phone market in 2008, which is roughly 10 million units.

it was launched at expos today... so some people already got their hands on em (rich people with connections)... u gotta wait till june my friend
