According to PhoneScoop, they look to be the same phone. Just different style of software (t for t-mobile, i for Cingular exceept for the D&G Razr IIRC).

My wife loves her V3i but it is such a girly phone.

neither, all razr's suck. I started hating mine 2 months after I got it. Everyone I know hates their's. I would look into another phone, honestly. I just got rid of my razr, and i have only owned it for 8 months.

The razr v3i and the razr v3t are basically the same phone except for a few slight changes:1. The V3i is branded to Cingular 2. The V3t is branded to T-mbile 3. The V3i has itunes for its media player 4. The V3t uses Motorola Digital Audio Player (DAP)other than these changes they are the same phone.

If you get either razr you better handle it with kid gloves. They are truly junk and if you drop it, it shatters into a million pieces. Both of my kids have had one. My daughters broke into pieces and my son claims his gets terrible reception.
