We don't know either as we don't know the make/model of your mainboard! You need to make sure your mainboard supports SATA. Many newer ones do, but older ones do not.

I dont wish to sound rude, answers like any PC make in the past 15 years will take a 320GB SATA drive is just a joke.Only in the past 4-5 years that BIOS will start to take drives over 120GB drives, and for a PC to take a 320GB, first the BIOS has to support it, if it doesnt then you need a SATA card that can. then you will need Windows 2000 SP4 or XP SP1 to make it work corrctly.

s.a.t.a is the newer hard drive interface that replaced p.a.t.a to check if your motherboard supports s.a.t.a interface either 1.check your motherboard manual, look at the motherboard diagram, the sata sockets are normally in the bottom left corner next to the bios chip or 2.open the side panel of your p.c and physically check your motherboard, the s.a.t.a sockets are small red 4 pin sockets, normally you get 2 to 4 sata ports on a motherboard if theres sata ports there then your in luck, simply plug your leads and power connectors in as per instructions! good luck
