Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pro Laptop WARNING...

...!? My daughter's new fujitsu laptop arrived on monday .It was opened and checked for any visible sign of damage , all was fine .On Tuesday I set it up .The first time I pressed the F3 button it fell off !On Wednesday I called fujitsu help and explained .Fujitsu claimed the keyboard was built by a machine and so fault was impossible , and because the laptop arrived undamaged the fault was caused by misuse (it hasnt been used yet !)So the laptop could be repaired but not under warranty if i pay for shipping and a new keyboard .When the laptop arrived i decided immiediately that it was better than my own and I would buy one the same .Now there is absolutely no way I would buy a fujitsu at all .Do you blame me ?

No I don't, but can you not reattach the key or (I know this is not ideal as you still have to pay out more money for something that is brand new) buy a new keyboard and fit it yourself.

I have the same laptop that only lasted 12 months.It just powers down and reboots itself looking for the boot disc. then doesn't see it's hard drive.The symptoms I was told that it was overheating and it was a motherboard at fault.Ended up getting a nice new Dell
