If Chicago gets this, Sprint has one more customer. Thats just an unbeatable deal, I really wonder what is going on in the minds of Verizon and Cingular think tanks right now.
This is such a good deal for power users. Unlimited everything, I bet a lot of people will bite. This is so much more important to heavy users than an exclusive phone could ever be. I for one am all for this spreading nationwide. Come on Sprint, roll it out nationwide already!!! |

I am honestly surprised at how much "attention" this unlimited plan is getting... (although it DOES look attractive on paper!). I'm sure some people DO need unlimited minutes because they use 10,000 minutes per month... but how many of us fall under that catagory? An interesting poll/comparison would be: "How many of us would sign up for an Unlimited plan for $120/mo" vs. "How many anytime minutes do you use a month". IMO, out of the people that sign up for this plan, I'll bet a good portion don't really even need UNLIMITED everything and would be able to "settle" for a lower-priced plan very comfortably (which is great for Sprint!). I personally would LOVE UNLIMITED EVERYTHING, but for $149.99+tax, I already get 2000 minutes + unlimited messaging + unlimited data on 4 family plan lines (except for data, which is only on 1), and that's much more than enough for all 4 people. It's all about balancing need/want vs. price! EDIT: Now if Sprint lowers the price to $99.99/mo AND allows extra lines for $9.99/ea... THAT would definitely grab my attention! |
