Ok fanboy.....Verizon is a little more restrictive with their handsets, like their neuteuring of the bluetooth, and they don't let you use third party phones like Cingy or T-Mob. Different providers fit different people. Tell people that have great coverage and a great little free incoming plan with inexpensive internet and texting packages to pay more with your favorite providers for something that may not work out for them. Ok..... Please, lets refain from useless posts....I can't believe that people create accounts to post irrelevant information like that...

Back to what he asked... You can get a phone activated on Sprints network LEGALLY if it's branded by Sprint, and the ESN number is in Sprints systems... No exceptions on this guys. Secondly, you CANT get a phone from a different carrier and have it activated on Sprints network. Once again, The phone wont be branded from Sprint, and the ESN number wont be in their systems. One other thing, Sprint is a CDMA provider, meaning that there is no SIM card to just plug into the phone and start using it. VZW and Sprint are CDMA. Cingular/AT&T, and T-Mobile are GSM, which use the SIM card so you are able to swap phones. If you buy a used phone from anyone, be it on here, ebay, locally, etc.. You haft to make sure it's not 1) A GSM phone 2) Branded for Sprint, not Nextel unless you want to use Nextel.. Hope this helps you out more than the next guy did... who's obviously just trying to get their post count up. |

Verizon uses CDMA phones, at&t and T-Mobile use GSM. Do you think that is the reason you can't use an at&t or T-Mobile phone on Verizon's network? :geek: |
