I posted in another thread that while I was in some training for some stuff this week they made a huge deal about the push this year to emphasize and strengthen suburban coverage. Its one of their big 5 goals for this year. Which is awesome, there is no way this can do anything other than to solidify them as a strong carrier. Coinciding with this was another conversation about strengthening the coverage in the home. That they said was the big push this year as well, to make it so they are the top carrier inside the home. This was AWESOME news and I tell you I use the personal coverage check with every customer to show them just what they can expect.

If t-mobile doesn't work for them I show them the lack of coverage and they appreciate the honesty. I think customers are so used to the salesman trying to sell them and promising them coverage that the honesty is so refreshing they remember me even if they don't buy from me.

im glad they are going in a new direction. it's been needed for a long time. Now if they would only open up roaming in a few places up north (i have no real complaints about the service though, just one place i woud love to be able to roam on cingular, since it's me who whined and complained until they put a tower up on that road :D )

i just talked to T-Mo and they was like "Wow, im surprised you dont drop more calls in the area", i have only dropped one or two, and that was because i was using a Samsung t209..lol

Not a phone I am particularly fond of. With it being free however its hard to not push especially for elderly customers or people who need a replacement phone when they can't upgrade yet.

I have seen some of the plans for new ads coming out soon and they are awesome. Some of them are local so thats even better, I appreciate it how T-mobile works their advertising to a specific market, thats something I can't recall Verizon or Cingular doing.

I think based on what I have seen in the past few weeks that the future of T-mobile service will be very very bright. New services, new features and new as of yet unannounced devices are coming!

Yea, when i was just talking to the lady, i was asking about switching to MyFaves and trying out the Samsung t619 (i do like the design, and would like to give samsung one more chance), anyways the lady basically told me to wait a month or two because they were going to release some new phones that she was not allowed to discuss (although they are more than likely up on the net as ready to be released)

now, this is the area i was talking about, in this area the coverage map is dead on! It's a rural area, and im surprised the phone works as good as it does up there.

The only thing I know of for sure in the next 30 days is the rizr, krzr and the 5300. I got my hands on a demo 5300 and I really liked the phone, it did feel a little plastic in the hand but not plastic enough to make me concerned about its build quality. My only true concern with this phone is a pitiful 3 hour battery life. For a music phone, thats so very weak. If only nokia was willing to make extended batteries, I might give this phone some serious consideration.

you're telling me about the battery. have you ever used a 6133? it's horrible, the thing will not hardly last me a day.. the 6030 will last me around 5-6 days, but the phone is so basic.

another thing i hate about nokia phones is the lack of internal memory. my 6030 has more memory than my 6133, that's pathetic!

Oh I know all to well about the 6133 it was the second phone I tried after the 619 which I LOVED btw. The lack of expandable memory was a deal breaker. That phone rocks though, not a single complaint.

I was burning through the 6133 in half a day with all the texting I do. Though you should know the 5300 with come with a 1gig memory card for your music listening pleasure. Thats an awesome deal at what looks to be but still unconfirmed $99.99 value. Not sure if there is a rebate yet, the Nokia rep was unsure.

Didn't they already do this marketing campaign before (but with different fonts and banner designs)? I could have sworn I saw those ads maybe about a year ago at least... and back then they WERE the only ones with street-level coverage maps! :p

how was the RF and battery life on the 619? on the 27th i can get discounted pricing, so i will look at it then.. i will get either the v195 or t619

i really dont care about expandable memory or music, as i have an ipod for that. And the pictures i dont usually keep on the phone, i usually unload them to my laptop through bluetooth.

In my personal experience with that phone it was awesome with RF. I had zero problems with it as I have zero problems with my trace now. The new Samsungs are certainly a bright light in the T-mobile line-up for reception. The quality of the 619 rivals my 6103 back up. Its really that good!

I'm pretty sure my roaming with Cingular got cut off yesterday...I've been getting "Limited Service" which I have never gotten before... :(
I'm hoping they did this in preparation to improve reception around my house.
