I have US cellular and I was told if I am moving...

...to a no coverage area I might not have to pay the cancel fee? I don't want to pay the $150 cancellation fee, and I was told that if I was moving to a no coverage area that I might not have to pay it. does anyone know if that is true.

Generally, I think it is true, but you have to prove to them that it is a no coverage area. Also, check your contract.

sorry you will have to pay the termination cost. when you call to cancel they will try to see if you have anyone else that you can give the contract responsibility to, if not then it will be the $150.

I asked a CS rep about this a few years ago, when considering a move to Texas. The rep told me that I would have to demonstrate that I actually moved. They probably wanted a copy of a lease or utility bill for the new residence. I don't know if this is how USCC would handle it now...
